Dodger

Dodger is derived from Artful Dodger. There are many other literary characters that I relate much more closely too (Nick Carraway, Emil Sinclair), but it is the seed within the Artful Dodger that lends this blog inspiration.

This is, in essence, a literary attempt at a social diary. Its aim is to document my adventures without exploiting my cohorts. The name Dodger, it is more to keep people from seeking me out, rather than hiding who I actually am. I’m not one for secrets: but I have the right amount of perfect friends as is.

And who am I?

I’m a fresh 24, in age.

I live on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, but was brought up in and oft long for Litchfield County, Connecticut.

I am an adventure seeker, have quite an active imagination – though it regularly pales to the situations I find myself in, and I enjoy solo travel above all else… except for time with close friends. I have an almost excessive nightlife, but just for the stories it offers me. I dance.

I used to collect rocks and Star Wars action figures. Now, I collect champagne medallions and people.

I am a gay male and believe firmly in the idea of love, though admit it is very easy to fall in love with the idea of someone, rather than that actual person.

People believe I lack a self-censor membrane based on the ridiculous things I sometimes say and do. However, they do not know all the things I withhold.

That’s basically an adequate summation.
